Merry Christmas & ...

Well, Christmastime has been a wonderful, busy time for us this year (well, now last year), full of fun celebrations with family and friends. Before Christmas we had a quick, but great visit, with our friends Melissa and Dave and then took Brennan up to NYC to see Uncle Steev and the BIG Christmas tree. It was great having our first celebration with Brennan, although he cared more about playing with his Santa toys than actually unwrapping much else. We helped him out with that. We spent Christmas Eve in great anticipation of the coming celebration. Then Christmas Day was spent lounging around and relaxing at home. Our good friends, Tamara & Bill, invited us to dinner and then we went to Syracuse for a couple of days (those pictures come later). It was nice, after all the stress of this last semester, to relax together as a family. I think Brennan has definitely had fun this season - especially each morning and evening when we'd light the tree and he'd point up at it and go "te, te" happily. We hope you all had a blessed Christmas, as well.

Happy 1st Birthday Brennan!

Our little guy is one year old today! Hard to believe it was already a year ago that we got no sleep, packed up our stuff and drove off to the hospital... just about this time too, and little Brennan Micah made his appearance in this wolrd 8 hours later! It's been quite a ride this past year - we love our little boy!

Check back soon as we post more Birthday pics & all the Christmas pics that we took. We're a little behind on that. How funny, by the way is it that Dad took 15 pictures this morning for this post and the first one was the best? Crazy little critter!

Pre-Christmas Fun

The time leading up to Christmas was a lot of fun. There was Christmas tree shopping, decorating the tree, Christmas parties, visits with friends and so much more!

Peek-A-Boo! I'm all bundled up for snow...too bad, it's 60 here!

We found the perfect Christmas tree

We had a white elephant gift exchange Christmas party with our building. Everyone received some SWEET gifts. We got the best one though - the Chariots of Fire soundtrack, on a record - YES!

I'm 11 months old now!

Here's the Christmas party with my ladies bible study - a fun time and I got some awesome knitting gear! Brennan's friend Denali joined the party, but Brennan was getting some shut-eye.

This is the mom's struggle: being impressed that her 11-month-old can climb up (very quickly) into his activity center to touch the buttons on the stereo or admonishing him for doing so. I figured I'd do both (the admonishment obviously came after the picture :0).

Brennan is now in the 150th percentile for height! (Psst...thanks, Dave!)
