Uncle Steev - The Rock Star

Not only can Brennan boast about knowing someone cool and famous (notice I left out the rich?), but he can say he's actually related to someone cool and famous. For those of you who don't know, Steev Richter is one talented and formidable musician. You may not hear his name on the radio (yet), but trust me when I say he's a pretty well-known and respected musician in his circle and the circles that permeate those circles. Brennan and Uncle Steev finally met for the first time at the end of August when we visited him while he was in New Hope, PA. It was great to see Steev and I'm so blessed to call him brother. If you'd like to hear some fun, soul-infused music then check him out at www.myspace.com/steevrichter.

Okay a couple more pictures from California

Blogger is making me mad again! Our trip to California was a long one and so there are a number of pictures I wanted to put up, but blogger has been giving me such a hard time. I was attempting to add others to the last post and it just didn't go through. So here is a family picture, one with Denise, Brennan, me and Stephanie, Brennan playing with our friends Denise & Michael's dog, and Don & I celebrating our 6th anniversary. We had a fun time!

A Little More Cali

Here are the last few pictures from our excursion to California, and a few pictures since we've been back and actually living in our new apartment. Yes, for those of you who didn't know, we moved into a 2-bedroom apartment and it's wondrous to have our room to ourselves again and to have a nursery - complete with stuffed animals and baby paraphernalia all around. I missed being able to set one up before Brennan was born, so I'm glad to be able to do it now. Grandma Kathy will be visiting this past weekend, so she was the first to see it. But we'll take pictures so you all can see as well. We'll also put some pics up of Grandma Kathy's visit very soon.

Brennan & Snickers - best buds? We'll see...

Sitting up strong!
Brennan seems to like his airport food.
Chillin' with Aunt Melissa, Grandma Linda and Grandpa Herb
His first food - avocado!

Lunch with Stacey - dang those candies walnuts were good!
"I like your dogs Amberly and Brian"!
Brennan realizes how cool Stacey is already!

New Pics

Brennan loves to put just about anything in his mouth, including his socks!
So cute when he rests his head on Daddy's leg
Finally in his crib - it only took 7.5 months, but he seems to like it.

More News and Pictures

We went to California for 2-1/2 weeks in August. Our home church in LA invited us to family camp near Santa Cruz, CA and so we had our first family camp experience as a family. We had a great time together walking around, playing, meeting new friends, seeing old friends (Dave we enjoyed discussing the "origins" of the redwoods :0), and the messages we heard were awesome. The theme was around C.S. Lewis and his writings, particularly the Chronicles. After that first week, we went back to LA and did a lot of running around trying to see as many people as we could. It was awesome seeing those that we did and we're sorry if we didn't get to hang out with you. We also had Brennan baptized at our church, which was really special (pictures of that to come later). We also celebrated our sixth anniversary on 8/19. Lindsey & Richard blessed us with babysitting and dinner at Cheesecake Factory. Here's a bunch of what we did while in California:

Back In Time

Hello everyone! Yes, we're finally back on the map and ready to take you back in time a little to catch up on what's been going on with us and, of course, Brennan. He's growing into such a busy little boy. He eats cereal (rice and oatmeal, although barley not so much) and he's tried numerous foods: avocado (his first), sweet potatoes, green beans, carrots, peas, squash, bananas (to Don's dismay), apples and we're moving forward with some more.

As far as his physical activity, he sits up on his own now (since mid-end of August), gets on his hands and knees and rocks back and forth, stands with support if propped, and also pulls himself up using Mommy or Daddy's hands and his own abs (yes, I'd like ab muscles like that!). It's so exciting to see how much he's growing.

He's also "saying" a lot now. In addition to da-da and mmmmm, he added yah-yah and ma-ma over Labor Day weekend. There's lots of other noises and grunts he does. He's definitely not shy about "telling" us what's on his mind. :0) He's also a traveling baby going to Delta Lake, California, New Hope, PA and Speculator, NY in the last month. Alright, enough already you say, here are the pictures from six months on:

My first food, rice cereal - yum!
